Most compounds are available in large or jumbo bar sizes. Large size: 6-7/8" long, 2" deep, 1-3/8" high. Jumbo size: 10" long, 2" deep, 2" high. Save when you purchase compound kits. Made in USA.
Jewelers Rouge: Red in color. An excellent coloring rouge for buffing gold, silver, pewter, sterling, nickel, and precious metal. Brings out fine detail and best true color. For use on canton flannel and loose buffing wheels. (Not available in Jumbo Size.)
Emery Compound: Black in color (popular). Used for buffing stainless steel, carbon steel, cold rolled steel, and other hard metals. Removes scratches, die marks, tool marks, burrs, nicks, scuff marks, rust, corrosion, and weld blemishes. Provides fast cutting and good coloring. For use on sisal, compressed, and yellow ventilated wheels.
White Rouge: White in color (popular). Best for coloring or buffing stainless steel, aluminum, brass, iron, chrome and nickel surfaces. Produces bright, shiny luster & high-gloss finish. Use on loose, spiral-sewn, canton flannel, compressed, or white ventilated wheels.
Plastic Compound: Blue in color. Specially-formulated for cut and color buffing on acrylics, lucite, plexi-glass, clear coat urethane or enamel paints. Removes scratches and imperfections from tail lights, lenses, etc. Use on loose and canton flannel buffing wheels. (Not for use on low melting plastics, such as polyethylene.)
Tripoli Compound: Brown in color (popular). Most widely used for buffing brass, copper, bronze, aluminum, zinc, pewter and plated surfaces. Provides good cutting and coloring action. Use on spiral, loose, white & yellow ventilated, radial arc, and compressed wheels.
Stainless Compound: White in color (popular). Fast cutting for stainless, iron, steel, chromium, and nickel plate. Effectively removes burrs, ripples, score marks, light tool and die machining lines from steel, iron, and stainless metals. Use on sisal, yellow ventilated & compressed wheels for coarse cutting. Use on spiral-sewn, loose, white ventilated, radial arc & canton flannel wheels for final coloring.
