$10.00 - $199.00
Hartco, the big name in resist material. Cuts easily and protects non-blast areas of glass, signs, etc. Has paper-relase liner and is available in standard and lightweight thickness.
Hartco 535 Series is the "workhorse" of their resist line. Designed for the toughest blasting conditions for extended periods of time. Can be cut by hand or computer. Made in USA.
Hartco Lightweight 310 Series is for masking small items, where extensive blasting is not required. Ideal for fine detail and light frosting of glass, plastic, etc. Can be cut by hand or computer. Made in USA.
How to use resist: Make sure sign blank is clean and dry. Apply 3M "77" Spray adhesive to sign blank. Let dry to a tacky state. Remove paper liner from back of resist and apply resist to sign blank. Draw or trace a design onto resist material. Cut out and remove areas to be blasted. Place sign blank inside Skat Blast abrasive blasting cabinet and blast with 50 psi air pressure. When blasting glass, use 20-40 psi air pressure. We recommend 1st Choice abrasive for redwood signs, and Aluminum Oxide or Silicon Carbide abrasive for glass. When finished, paint sign or stain for a unique look.
Tech Tip: Above recommendations are provided as a reference point. Experiment with different abrasives and operating pressures to obtain your desired effect.
