3-Stage High Efficiency (HEPA) Filter Design prevents vacuum motor failure caused by ultra-fine dust.
3-Stage Filter Design consists of:
1st Stage: 5 micron vac bag-type filter with self-cleaning feature. When motor is shut off, sewn-in weights drop, and the bag empties itself.
2nd Stage: HEPA Filter Cartridge mounted just below the motor. This HEPA cartridge traps any ultra-fine dust particles down to 0.3 microns (particles about 1/200th the diameter of a strand of hair) from entering the vac motor. Special nonstick membrane material on HEPA cartridge resists clogging and sheds dirt easily. For a thorough cleaning, just remove HEPA cartridge and wash by rinsing filter under a stream of water. Air-dry before reinstallation.
3rd Stage: Outlet Filter collects any remaining particles before entering your shop, providing a cleaner shop environment without the dust.
70-80 cfm, 115 volt motor has sound-deadening lid assembly for ultra "quiet operation". Only 72-76 decibels. Includes 5 ft vac hose (2-1/2" dia) for hookup to your blast cabinet. Ship wt. 40 lbs. 14-1/2" diameter, 47-1/2" high. Made in USA.
When using a cabinet for more than occasional use (about 1 hour daily) or commercial use (5 hours per week), a vacuum is not adequate for dust removal due to limited capacity. We recommend our 176-DC or 301-DC Dust Collectors.
