Form and shape sheet metal panels easily with these amazing leather beater bags.
Made of high-quality 5 to 6 oz leather; double-stitched with heavy-duty thread and seam covered with nylon binding to prevent leaks. Bag has 1-1/2" hole on one side with extra-wide hook & loop for filling and refilling. Fill bags with "Pro-Fill" Beater Bag Filler Material (below) or #9 birdshot available at your local sporting goods store. We DO NOT recommend using silica sand or lead shot (health hazard).
When filled, bags create a perfect surface for forming and shaping metal. Simply place metal to be formed on bag, and strike it with your hammer or mallet. Bag will give the proper support while allowing the metal to stretch when struck. Our plastic or wood metal-forming mallets work great with this process. Use our English Wheels to straighten out or further shape metal formed on a bag. Available in 12" and 18" diameter. Made in USA.
