HOW IT WORKS: Unique shrinker and stretcher applies pressure to 90° bent metal whenever you push down on the handle, resulting in a slight radius and forming of metal. By working the metal back and forth between the machine jaws, you can form professional shop-quality curves, angles, and radiuses in the metal. Works on steel, aluminum, stainless, and even some vinyls. Forms curves as small as 1" radius and complete circles with minimum diameter of 2" (shrinker-formed circle would be in two pieces under 6" diameter). 16 gauge mild steel capacity. Works on flanges up to 2" wide. 1" jaw depth. Cast-iron body and hardened steel jaws.

TP Tools Tip: 24" high stand is the optimum working height to obtain proper leverage needed to form metal and ensure operator comfort. Because the proper height is so important for good leverage, mounting the Shrinker & Stretcher in a vise or on a workbench is not recommended.
TP Tools Tip: When shrinking and stretching metal, both the shrinker and stretcher machines are used simultaneously to form inside and outside curves, angles and compound curves. Therefore, we recommend the 8036-54 or 8054-55 kits. These kits will save you time by not having to switch the dies back and forth.
