Precision bending and ease of operation enable you to turn out more work in less time and with less fatigue. Features heavy steel tie rods on top and bottom for minimum deflection and true bends, removable bending bar and angle for tight bends (Model U416), adjustment for material thickness and clamping pressure, and replaceable bushings. Great for automotive restoration; bend door and fender edges, angles, floor panels, rocker panels, and patch panels. Having your own brake will save you time and easily pay for itself on your 1st or 2nd restoration!
Connecticut Brakes are available in two styles: Straight brakes for bending angles in flat, straight panels, and Box and Pan Brakes (shown) for bending straight panels and bending the third and fourth sides of a box by passing the first side thru spaces between the adjustable fingers as the bends are made. Hardened fingers are in 2", 3" and 4" widths. They may be grouped for even inch combinations or spaced out for fractional dimensions. With all fingers in place, the brake operates the same as a straight brake. Made in USA.
RW-422 SPECIFICATIONS: 48-1/4" bed length, 59" wide, 16" deep, 20" high. 22 gauge mild steel capacity. Minimum reverse bend (bar and angle removed) - 5/16". Maximum lift of beam - 7/8". Shipping weight (without bench) 225 lbs.
RW-U422 SPECIFICATIONS: 48-1/4" bed length, 58-3/4" wide, 15" deep, 19-3/4" high. 22 gauge mild steel capacity. Minimum reverse bend (bar and angle removed) - 5/16". Maximum lift of beam - 7/8". Finger widths - 2", 3", 4". Shipping weight (without bench) 300 lbs.
RW-U416 SPECIFICATIONS: 48-1/4" bed length, 60-5/8" wide, 18" deep, 23-3/4" high. 16 gauge mild steel capacity; with bending angle removed 20 gauge; with bending bar and angle removed 23 gauge. Minimum reverse bend (bar and angle removed) - 1/4". Maximum lift of beam - 1-1/4". Finger widths - 2", 3", 4". Maximum depth of box - 4". Front to rear adjustment of beam - 5/8". Shipping weight (without bench) 500 lbs.
RW-STAND SPECIFICATIONS: Optional stand fits three above brakes. Constructed of 12 gauge steel. 56" long, 18" wide, 26" high. Shipped flat - approximate 5 minute assembly (bolts included). Pre punched holes for mounting brake. Shipping weight 125 lbs. It is recommended that stand be lagged to floor to further support brake.
