Battery Tender® chargers are designed to fully charge and maintain your battery at the proper voltage when your vehicle is parked or stored for an long period of time. Ideal for antique and classic cars, tractors, boats, motorcycles, jet skis, ATVs, snowmobiles, airplanes, RVs, lawn tractors - virtually anything with a battery.
Battery Tender® will correctly charge and maintain any type of lead-acid, sealed maintenance-free, and gel cell batteries. Simply plug Battery Tender® into 115 volt outlet, hook up to your vehicle's battery, and let the Battery Tender® do the rest. Just think . . . No more dead or weak batteries! Battery Tender® will easily increase the life of your battery by 3-5 years or even more!
Here's how Battery Tender® Works: Once plugged into a 115 volt outlet and connected to the battery, the Battery Tender® applies a 750, 800 milliamp or 1.25 amp charge (depending on the model) to the battery at a constant 14.4 volts DC until the battery is fully charged. Once fully charged, Battery Tender® automatically switches to a safe storage mode where it reduces the charging amperage and maintains the battery at a constant 13.2 volts DC. This constant low amperage keeps the battery fully charged and ready-to-go. Battery Tender® can virtually monitor a battery for years without overheating, boiling over, harming, or causing any reduction in the battery's useful life.
All models feature: 1) reverse-polarity protection, which prevents damage to charger even if leads are connected to the wrong terminals; 2) spark protection - no sparks even if leads touch each other; and 3) visual indication lights on front of Battery Tender®, which show progress in charging and storage mode.
All models include two different quick-disconnect cables, on-board and off-board. The on-board cable has two ring-style terminals to fit on the positive and negative side of your battery. This cable can be left attached to your battery and tucked under the hood. When needed, simply attach quick-disconnect end to Battery Tender®; and your battery can begin charging. The off-board cables have standard alligator-type clamps, similar to standard battery chargers, which clamp onto top or side post terminals, plus include a quick-disconnect end.
